ARPL Architects win Colmonell Primary School Design Award for the third time

Colmonell Primary School has won Glasgow Institute of Architecture Gold Award, because their school recognized as an innovative and unique school.

Colmonell Primary School has won Glasgow Institute of Architecture Gold Award, because their school recognized as an innovative and unique school. And before they also get two silver awards from Roses Design Awards for their iconic design.

Colmonell Primary School gets £1.5 million from Glasgow Institute of Architecture Gold Award, because their school is assessed as environmentally friendly school. They put grass as a roof, low cost heating because supported by air source heat pumps and recognized as favorite place for students, staff and local community.

The award given to ARPL Architects, because this school designed them where have two composite classes filled 50 pupils and a nursery class that able to accommodate10 children. This school equipped with spacious teaching area, a library, dining and sports hall and some spaces for staff. Hywel Davies (South Ayrshire Council Portfolio Holder) said that he pleased Colmonell Primary School get this prestigious award.

This achievement will help Colmonell Primary School more appreciated by local community and more loved by their students and staff. At once can be example for another school, so more and more schools with environmentally friendly concept.
