BASF Shows Result of Research of LabLogic’s Active Counting Mode sensitivity

Agricultural Products Division of BASF has carried a research and confirmed that LabLogic Systems’ Beta-RAM 5 radio-detector have superior performance, when used in the Active Counting Mode (ACM).

Keith Hall (LabLogic’s Laura chromatography system-product manager) said that radio-detector sensitivity very crucial in shortening procedures of processing in some kinds of 14C studies. He responsible to controls the Beta-RAM. BASF find how Beta-RAM 5 work in ACM mode equipped through a liquid cell.

Despite, Beta-RAM 5 give satisfaction in Standard Mode for almost all of routine work, but in ACM difficult cases, Beta-RAM 5 generates chromatograms with high value against surrounding noise, this cases equate with a superior signal to ratio of noise and has better improvement than Limit Of Detection (LOD).

ACM system monitoring run conditions and always optimizes them actively and ensuring that performance was optimal in term of signal to treat resolution and ratio of noise at all time.

Dr Huns Nejad (senior of research associate at the BASF Agricultural Products Division at Research Triangle Park, North Carolina) describes about company’s experience of Beta-RAM 5 with ACM, said that they were interested to determine
